Q: Can I choose whatever Habitudes I want to use from the schedule?
A: Yes. The Habitudes in “Ready. Lead. Go.” (Year One) are all available at once. You can choose any order you wish to discuss them. We do not offer the Habitudes separately. Your subscription enables you to access the entire book of thirteen (13) Habitudes. Additional years (books) are available in a separate annual subscription.

Q: Can I buy a year’s worth of materials and then just reuse what I have?
A: The license agreement enables an organization to use the curriculum during a specified consecutive 12-month period. The license doesn't provide possession of the materials for re-use outside of a current license agreement. In addition, while the “Ready. Lead. Go.” schedule repeats every four years, the curriculum is written fresh to provide relevant and timely lessons each year.

Q: What kind of training opportunities do you have?
A: Growing Leaders offers training through our National Leadership Forum each June in Atlanta. (www.NationalLeadershipForum.org) On the same website, you can find information about our Habitudes Certification Event. We highly recommend at least one or two leaders in organizations who use “Ready. Lead. Go.” to become licensed as a certified Habitudes facilitator. We also sponsor regional events held on local campuses throughout the U.S. (www.GrowingLeaders.com)  In addition, we co-host events on location called: “The Habitudes Experience” for students. (www.Habitudes.org)

Q: How often should we discuss the Habitudes during the year?
A: The “Ready. Lead. Go.” Curriculum can progress at whatever pace you desire. (There are 13 Habitudes each year). Many schools and organizations discuss one habitude every week. This takes them about one semester to experience Book One. Other organizations choose to discuss one Habitude a month—which enables them to choose eight or nine Habitudes from the menu of thirteen in the annual curriculum.

Q: Where can I find the schedule of Habitudes?
A: The weekly (or monthly) Habitudes are scheduled along a four-year timeline. Every four years, the Habitude images are repeated, though the curriculum material is freshly written. The first year focuses on the art of self-leadership and includes these images:

1.    The Iceberg
2.    Starving Baker
3.    The Golden Buddha
4.    Thermometers and Thermostats
5.    Funhouse Mirror
6.    The Oversized Gift
7.    Personal Laptop
8. Pop Quiz
9. Emotional Fuel
10. Opportunity Statue
11. Discipline Bridge
12. Half-hearted Kamikaze
13. Drivers and Passengers

The overview of all four years of the electronic curriculum is below:
1.    Year One: The Art of Self-Leadership
2.    Year Two: The Art of Connecting with Others
3.    Year Three: The Art of Leading Others
4.    Year Four: The Art of Changing Culture

Q: Why are some of the letters missing when I print?
A: When using Adobe Reader and printing grayscale, please be sure to set the Advanced Option for "Set Font and Reserve Policy" to "Send At Start."

Q: What do I do when I print the materials and it prints black boxes?
A: When printing, be sure to open the PDF documents with Adobe Acrobat Reader, and then proceed to print. Printing the PDFs from the preview pane and not Adobe Acrobat Reader will sometimes create black boxes on the printed page.

Q: I've entered username and password, and I still can't log into the store.
A: Usernames and passwords from the curriculum site don't automatically work on subsidiary sites. If you encounter problems using your password or user name, call our office at: (678) 367-4189. Our hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Q: How do I retrieve my username and password?
If you’ve forgotten your user name an password, please call our office: (678) 367-4189

Q: Can I edit the Teacher’s Guide?
A: All PDFs within the curriculum are copyright protected as a whole, due to the use of graphics, layout and design. Therefore all PDFs are password-protected. If you would like to add to the Teacher’s Guide (for instance), you can simply print out the PDF and write in your personal additions or stories in the margins.

Q: How do the podcasts work? Can I make an audio CD of them?
A: You will need to have a CD writer and appropriate software. Most CD writers come with software included, which will allow you to make an audio CD. An example of software which will create an audio CD is iTunes (apple.com/itunes)

Q: Why do the PDFs not view or print correctly?
A: If you are experiencing problems with your PDFs displaying only a white page, or you are receiving an error that the viewer cannot decrypt the document, please update your Adobe Reader to the latest version. You will find the most recent installers at www.adobe.com.

Q: Why do the Family Focus cards not print correctly?
A: If they are printing slightly left justified, then make sure that they are not set to "fit to page" in your page setup and/or print settings.

Q: What if I cannot download or, I receive an error when I download?
A: PC Users
If you are on a PC, you probably have a temporary file hanging around from a previous failed download. You should go to Start menu > Settings > Control Panels > Internet Options. From the General tab, click on the button in the Temporary Internet Files panel. Click on the Delete Files button to remove any failed download or partial download of that file.

Also, Click on the 'Settings' button in this same panel and make sure that your browser is set to 'Check for newer version of stored pages' at 'every visit to the page.' Apply the changes and close the 'Internet Options' window.

A: Mac Users
If you are on a Mac, you can accomplish the same thing by going to 'Preferences > Advanced > Empty Now' under 'Cache Settings.'

Q: Can I post materials on the school or organization’s web site?
A: “Ready. Lead. Go” documents cannot be posted on school/organization web sites with the exception of Family Focus Cards and Refrigerator Door cards (available later). Should you need to make materials available to your team, make the password and user name available to your staff.

Q: How much does the renewal cost?
A: Pricing for “Ready. Lead. Go.” is determined by your school’s student enrollment. Or, if you lead a non-profit group or church youth group the cost is determined by the average number of students attending.

The yearly license fee includes all downloadable material for small groups, medium size groups and large groups, appropriately and moderately priced. The subscription is provided for a fraction of the cost of identical books and products. There are no additional fees for the yearly license.

Q: Can I purchase individual months of curriculum?
A: Licenses are only sold in 12-month periods. A “RLG Sample” is a great way to try out the curriculum for one month. The “RLG Sample” includes the curriculum and all the features for an entire month.

Q: Do you accept checks?
A: Payments for “Ready. Lead. Go.” can be made with a check (make it out to “Growing Leaders”) or by credit card over the phone (678) 384-4484, or on-line with a credit card. The annual subscription is completed on-line during the sign-up process. Accepted forms of credit card payments are: Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.

Q: If I decide to cancel can I get a refund?
A: REFUND POLICY:
Because subscribers have access to the entire year of curriculum, we do not allow for refunds. (It would be too easy to simply download everything, then get the refund and use the material at no cost.) However, we do provide a sample of the elements within the curriculum for schools, organizations or churches to preview it before purchase.
All “Ready. Lead. Go.” license terms are 12 months.

Q: Where can I find suggested movie clips in the Teacher’s Guide?
A: You can either rent the movie and note the start and end times of each clip in the Teacher’s Guide, or you can go to: www.WingClips.com and locate movie clips there, that correspond to the themes of each Habitude.

Q: If I use movie clips from DVD rentals, how do I do it legally?
A: To do it legally you must get a license. This is simply a paid agreement, generally a yearly term, which gives permission to show certain copyrighted films or clips in a public setting.

Under United States Copyright Law of 1976 (title 17), it is illegal to publicly broadcast a protected work. The purchase or renting of a multimedia work does not warrant the public showing of said work (section 202). Additionally, for-profits and not-for-profits are governed by the same copyright laws. An admission or entrance fee is not a requirement for a public showing, a license is still required even if it’s a free event.

For infringement on this U.S. copyright law, violators will pay anywhere between $750 and $30,000 (for each showing) as well as other additional penalties (sections 502-505).

Q: Where can I get a license to show movie clips?
A: There are scores of different options for obtaining licenses. Different licensors will offer various agreements that cover different producers. We suggest you find a license agreement that will include a large number of producers, or the producers you that you’re interested in, to suit your teaching needs.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (www.mplc.com) is a site we might suggest for most film licensing needs. They offer an agreement called the Umbrella License and covers over 90 producers.

For ministries and churches, we might suggest licensure be obtained by Christian Video Licensing International (www.cvli.com).  They offer a Total Package that covers most big-name producers like FOX Searchlight, Paramount Pictures, Walt Disney and more.

We suggest you contact several licensors and decide what agreement might be best for you and your organization. Prices for licenses could vary according to several factors including:
•    Type of venue the work will be showed in
•    The number of exhibitions per year
•    The estimated number of attendees who will view the protected work

For a license, you might pay anywhere from $55/year for organizations under 100 people up to $600+/year for organizations 3,000+ people.
